About Programme |
The Finance function is the nucleus of any company. Getting the Finance function to work effectively is critical for any business. The Finance function reports on profitability and overall company performance and cost management, support business functions, produce reports for Boards, BNM, Bursa, management and shareholders, manage finance risk and liaise with various stakeholders.
Finance chiefs and personnel have to analyse accounts, advice on key risks, address financial and operational controls and support the CEO and management on long term value creation, IFRS issues and others. The Finance chief has a reporting duty to Audit Committees and Boards on the financial affairs of the company.
The role of Finance has grown beyond number crunching and reporting. To effectively manage the Finance function a range of skills and an appropriate mind set are required.
This program covers topics to build skills in Finance management, perfect existing roles and gear up for an enlarged role in governance.
Internal auditors and risk managers are required to provide assurance on the expanded role of Finance in corporate governance and on other critical finance management issues. Therefore it is also crucial for internal auditors and risk managers to understand the roles, risk and issues in Finance for effective and value add reporting
