The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) Inks MoU Collaboration with INSMART Company Limited as it Eyes Expansion in Vietnam

Kuala Lumpur, March 10, 2011 – Malaysian premier insurance training and education provider, The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with INSMART Company Limited, a company that facilitate training in Vietnam, under which the two organisations will collaborate in providing MII professional and technical training programmes in Vietnam.

At the signing ceremony held at MII today, Mrs Khadijah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer from The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) and Mr Cheam Teck Eng, Chief Executive Officer from INSMART Company Limited signed the collaboration while witnessed by Mr Mohamed Fuzi Ismail, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Mr Zekri Ghazali, Vice President of Business Development and Mrs Sharifah Fazlina, Vice President of Life Training and Membership from The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII).

This collaboration will open up new market expansion for MII in the offering of its training programmes in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This will involve MII as the training provider of the programmes whilst INSMART would render the service as the marketing partner as well as providing other related local logistics and administration supports.

The 3 years agreement will strengthen MII position in the emerging markets as aligned with its vision in becoming the preferred insurance institute for human capital development and professional standards in insurance in Malaysia and Emerging Markets. Currently, MII is actively involved in providing insurance training programmes in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Indonesia.
