MII membership designations are recognised throughout the insurance industry market as indicators of achievement, knowledge and professional competency. For many individuals, their MII designation is a symbol of their success, professionalism, qualification, integrity and competency in their insurance career.

Any Associate and Fellow member of MII, so long as he remains a member, may use after his name, in the case of a Fellow Member, the words Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute or the letters FMII and, in the case of an Associate Member, the words Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute or the letters AMII.
